Proverbs 1:5,7 "A wise manwill hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel...The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction."
On Sunday in church, our pastor began a sermon series on wisdom. He handed out a key ring with ten business size cards on the ring. The front of the card says the sermon title, "Wisdom for the Road" and the back of each card has a verse to memorize for the next ten weeks. I want to commit to memorize these verses with the rest of my church, so for the next ten weeks, the Groupies4God verses will all be from Proverbs. Some of these may be repeats for you, but I hope you will track with me as we focus on "Wisdom for the Road" from the book of Proverbs.
Also, over the next few weeks, my personal schedule is going to be filled with a week-long mission trip, family vacation, and then shoulder schedule, with a long recovery. I may or may not be able to write a corresponing blog to go with the verse to memorize for the week, especially next week when I go to Colombia! I will do my very best, but sometimes I just may be able to post the new verse to memorize. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
